I'm a front-end engineer and UI/UX enthusiast based in Toulouse, France. I built Cadran because I believe your desktop deserves as much care as the work you do on it. So every face, every animation, every pixel is crafted from first sketch to final build.
Why Cadran exists
I wanted a clock on my desktop that felt native, not a widget, not a floating window, but something rendered at the wallpaper layer, always visible, never in the way. Nothing like that existed, so I built it.
Design principles
Cadran is built around three ideas: no accounts (your preferences stay on your device), pay once for Pro (no recurring fees), and no clutter (the clock stays behind your icons when you need focus).
The product
Cadran ships 22 handcrafted clock faces across 6 style categories: Numeric, Analog, Data, Abstract, Matrix, and Spectrum. Each face supports custom backgrounds, contrast-aware colors, and full multi-monitor assignment with Pro.
What's next
New faces, screensaver improvements, and deeper system integration are in progress. Cadran Pro users get early access to every new face as it ships.
